Your Brother’s Premature Death

Question

My brother was drug addict, ( age 27)

Due to overdose we lost him, but this does not change my love for him.

Is it his bad karma or our bad karma that we loose him.

Is there any chance I will meet him again.

Answer

Dear Vasu,

I am so sorry for your loss and especially too for the fact that your dear brother succumbed to drug addiction. Rather than think of your loss as “good” or “bad” karma think of his death as simply change. Imagine that your brother went away and moved to a faraway country and that perhaps, as a result, you will not see him again in this lifetime in the body. But you can still communicate: in this world through video, phone calls, emails and pictures. In the astral world, your communication can take place through your feelings, especially when your feelings are calm and clear, focused in a relaxed way upon your brother’s image, name or feeling of his presence. He lives still! Your connection is through the heart and yes, if that connection is strong and clear, you will meet again. In new outward forms you each may look different but love “knows” and recognizes its own.

So each day sit for a while after meditating and using his picture or visualizing him talk to him and send to him your greetings, your love, and your friendship. Keep in mind, that his death was not a natural one and that in his current disembodied state he may need some help regaining clarity, calmness, comfort and a sense of well-being. He may be free of the effects of drugs but the desire for using drugs may linger in his consciousness. So pray to release that habit from his subconscious so he can be free of that habit in his next life. Your prayers for his release from addiction are very, very important but must be offered calmly and with confidence.

Blessings to you both,
